When it comes to employment, the Windsor Assembly Plant, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), has grown into the single-largest manufacturing facility in Canada.
The Automotive Policy Research Centre (APRC) reported that the auto industry in Canada had stability and steady growth in vehicle production and employment between the years of 2012 and 2016. APRC’s Brendan Sweeney, author of the report, explained that the automotive industry grew by 30% during that five-year time period.
